It was so sweet and simple; A rose, a picnic at The Alexandra Gardens, carving our names into one of it's trees (how I wish I could remember where to find that tree), and finally sitting by the Yarra River watching the world pass us by…
While I do consider Valentines day a bit of a Hallmark Holiday these days (I know, I can be so un-romantic), I can still appreciate the specialness of it's origins.
So seeing as tomorrow will also be a first of sorts (our first one as a 'married couple' - squee!) I am planning on celebrating it.
This Valentines Eve I'm Much Love-ing…
❥ This beautiful blog.
I only wish I had been introduced to the world of blogs and Pinterest when I was getting married - I would have had so much more inspiration… oh the possibilities!
❥ This gorgeously bittersweet song:
I know I already featured it during my Sunday Session but, truly, I have an obsession with it.
Loving the repeat button also...
❥And finally my attempt at making this cake for
photos to come upon completion…
(that is if I don't throw the cake and all it's frosting halfway across the room in frustration and give up.)
Wish me luck ;o)
Oh, and happy Valentines Day to all you lovelies out there.
Be sure to treat yourselves extra special tomorrow.

I'm wishing you luck on your cake! Have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Hope you find that tree someday.
And in case you don't see it on my blog, that other cup WAS for you. *holds out hot chocolate* Enjoy! :)

Much luck on the cake! Your husband is one lucky guy for you to go through all that fuss. Have a nice Valentine's Day!
Thanks for hopping over to my blog :)
There is so much I enjoyed about this post. I don't think there's anything un-Romantic about not wanting to rush on the holiday bandwagon; love is what we do every day, not when the calendar says. Actually, the true origin of the holiday is in martyrdom, so if people really wanted to celebrate it, they would be thinking of entirely different things! Most basically of all the sacrifices we make for love...
Oops, this comment is a bit long! So I'll end it by saying what a nice touch with the quotes at the end; for what it's worth, I really enjoyed them. Wishing you a wonderful *much love* week, and I hope the cake turns out.
Oh I am so much like you. I have never been much of a Valentine's day person and have yet to celebrate it with my man the Hallmark way. But its fun to take the time to spend time together on that day.
I hope you have a wonderfully loving Valentine's day.
Much Love,
Crystal
